Cape May City's beaches are open year-round, and guarded in the summer for your enjoyment, barring any inclement or unsafe conditions. Beach tags are required for beach access in the summer, and are available from kiosks or attendants at any access point. Tags are required for beachgoers 12 and up from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day during guarded hours.
Steger's offers chairs and umbrellas for rent at 11 different beach locations, from Trenton Avenue to Cove Beach. The main Cape May Beach Patrol Station is located at 238 Beach Avenue.
